Wallet & pay-as-you-go: what it costs and how it works
The Onyx wallet (your “balance”) lets you use the platform paying only for what you consume, with no monthly fee. You start free, and if one month you need more than the free plan includes, it is charged to your top-up balance. This guide explains exactly how much each thing costs, with today's prices.
What's free every month?
The free plan includes, at no cost, 1 connected account and a monthly Onyx AI allowance. As long as you stay within that allowance, your balance is untouched. The wallet only kicks in when you go over what's included.
What going over costs (today's rates)
- Each extra Onyx AI analysis: $0.20.
- Each extra connected account (beyond the free one): $4 per month.
How you top up
You top up with card or USDT. Card top-ups carry a small service fee that drops the more you add at once. USDT top-ups are at face value (0% fee).
- Top-ups from $0: 7% fee
- Top-ups from $25: 5% fee
- Top-ups from $50: 4% fee
- Top-ups from $100: 3% fee
- Top-ups from $200: 2% fee
Auto-reload (so it never cuts off)
You can save a card and turn on auto-reload: when your balance drops below a minimum, Onyx tops it up by the amount you choose, so your analyses and accounts don't pause midway.
When is a plan cheaper than pay-as-you-go?
Pay-as-you-go is ideal if you use Onyx lightly or irregularly. If month after month you spend more balance than a plan would cost, a plan is cheaper and also includes more features. The app itself tells you when you reach that point, so you don't have to work it out.
